Meet the Hosts.jpg
Hello, I'm Tara.png

I'm one of the hosts of the Sweet Tea + Jesus Podcast! I'm 34 years old!
I'm married to my best friend. We have four kids (all 7 years old and under).
I'm a SAHM. Before kids, I was a middle school science teacher.

Bottom line, I love Jesus. He is my Lord and Savior. Every day, I try to live a life as a joyful servant, daily surrender all that I am and have to the Lord.

Things that I love...
My hubby, my kids, my pups, the beach, painting, photography, Harry Potter, traveling, Chinese food, coffee, crafting, riding horses, four wheelers, kayaking, NBA basketball, all things Auburn (war eagle), shopping, and more.

If you want to know, ask. I'm an open book.

My favorite book in the Bible is Phillipians because of the amount Paul wrote the words "joy" and "rejoice." I need God’s joy in my life daily.

My favorite Bible verses are Ephesians 5:8-10 "for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord." I pray that I am a servant daily walking in the Light and shining His light wherever I go.

I pray that the Lord uses my testimony to point others to Him and that my life brings Hil glory.

Love you guys!
🤎 -Tara

Hello, I'm Kelsey.png

I'm one of the hosts of the Sweet Tea + Jesus Podcast! I am 30 years old and still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up.

I co-host the Sweet Tea and Jesus Podcast with my sister. Y’all should listen, it’s great. I have a sonography degree but am currently a stay at home mama (SAHM). I love to sing and I feel most connected to God during worship.

I have a beautiful little family that I am so grateful for. My husband is an engineer that loves golf so much he put a putting green in our backyard. We have two daughters under the age of four so if you catch me at home, I am probably in the middle of a dance party or princess tea party or of course cleaning it all up.

I don’t know the last time I took a shower by myself or drank a hot cup of coffee and y’all, that laundry I washed five days ago is still sitting in my dryer okay?!

What I do know is I’ve been through a lot of really hard things. Really dark things in my past. But God redeemed me. He changed my life. And I just can’t get over it!

I want my life to be a reflection of Jesus and I want to encourage others to be transformed by the gospel. To live unashamed in a world that likes to remind us of all the things we have to be ashamed of. To reflect the Jesus that died for ALL of our sins. It doesn’t matter who you think you are or what you’ve done, God can redeem your life. He offers hope, grace, forgiveness, and a never stopping, never giving up, always and forever love. (Quote from the Jesus storybook Bible)

I pray you find this podcast and this page encouraging, convicting, and relatable. I pray it helps you feel emboldened to live unashamed.

Love ya'll!

🤎 -Kelsey
